Ever felt as if someone was reading your mind...?

Picture this for a moment. Us Fairies doing another late night dream casting over a gin and a few chocolates. Wondering who we would like to see starring side by side in a musical of our choice. We have our favourite actors. And we have some shows we love more than others. Lots of choices, plenty of different combo's. One of the best pairings we've seen recently was Drew Sarich and David Thaxton in Les Miserables. Seriously folks, if ever casting was spot on...but we've waffled about that ad nauseum before, so no need to tell you again how much we adore their musical talents combined. And then when we saw Ramin Karimloo; first at the Les Mis 25th anniversary celebrations and then as Phantom, in 'Love Never Dies'. We lost our hearts to his rich tones. And dimples. A dimply man is a joy to behold.  Some of our previous posts have included hints for  future castings, should anyone be reading...

We were slightly concerned that this years MT pickings could never rival the past two years, as we've had a whale of a time recently and been utterly spoilt by seeing the talented best at their most talented best. And we've been missing some of our faves, like the amazing Drew, for instance. He's been gone for so long, turning all all continental. What's wrong with the West End, Drew? We'd also fallen in love with Ramin and just when we became accustomed to hearing him sing once more he was off to Toronto. Was it something we said?!?!?! And the gorgeous David has been lying low since 'Passion' and it would be fun to see him in something, otherwise he might go back to deepest Wales and never come back! And then lo and behold, we get Drew news and before you have time to shout 'Jesus Christ Superstar' we're suddenly going off to see Drew Sarich! In JCS! In Vienna (had we mentioned it before...? Maybe once or twice but we're So. Excited...). And we've got other fun visits planned, to see things we like and love and adore and will probably be talking about them  for ages. You know, things like shiny new shows. Award shows. We're even off to see David Tennant in 'Much Ado About Nothing'...But why the excitement today?

Because.

DAVID THAXTON, the original Mr Magnificent, the Enjolras never to be rivaled (probably...though Ramin comes in sooo close...) is going to star as Raoul in LOVE NEVER DIES!!!! Our new fave musical (after the Miz, naturally)!!! AND - as if that wasn't enough, there is a rumor doing the rounds (unconfirmed as yet though) that RAMIN KARIMLOO might be STAYING!!!!!!!

That's right.

This news has rocked Fairyland - nay, FairyWORLD - in such big fashion that palpitations are occurring and smelling salts could be necessary. Bloody marvellous news!!!! Amazing!!! And suddenly we will probably find ourselves slightly poorer as well, as hey  - we'll need to see the new cast, no?

We like to see the positive side of this news; rumor has it that LND is now not opening on Broadway and in Toronto, hence Ramin (RAMIN!!!!) is staying on in the  role. Some might argue this doesn't bode well for LND staying open. Closing it would be tragic. But  maybe staying on in the West End a bit longer might  help to solidify the shows status..? After all, it's not that long ago the show was changed (for the better) and  maybe it needs more time to settle. The longer Ramin can stay, the more the show will prove itself as a fantastic bit of MT, as he brings people in...his reputation goes before him. This is a clear win - win for us! And add into that mix the Divine Thaxton as well...MT heaven. Thacko will probably bring with him yet more of a new audience...
All three of our faves??
On stages either near us or soon to be near us???

Oh Joy of Joys oh Glory Be!!!
(With fingers firmly crossed....come on Ramin, you wouldn`t want to see two fairies cry now would you? Please confirm the rumours.....)

We didn't even dare to dream this little gem!
